Have Chest Pain, Symptoms Of Flu, Disorientation, Allergies. Taking Olanzapine And Clarithromycin. What Is The Reason?

thanks, my son is taking 1 x olanzapine 10mg daily he has been experiencing chest pains for quiet a while, he went to the doctor last week with flue like symptoms and doctor gave him an antibiotic. but he went back to doctor yesterday as he has a really bad chest pain, the doctor said a lot of people suffer experiences like this after a flue and gave him clarithromycin 500mg he became disorientated, confused and got sick ?? he was allergic to erythroped as a very young child and seems to be allergic to penicillan what should we do please help

Why is he on olanzapine?
If he has pneumonia then clarithromycin is a good drug but with allergies of erythromycin, he should be given levofloxacin or doxycycline. Also if he has disorientation then you should look for legionella as it can cause neurological symptoms
