Have Choking, Severe Pain And High Bp During Convulsion In The Chest. All Test Done. What Can It Be?
HI, My brother is 18 year old . he sometimes feels a severe convulsions in the left side of chest , which also affects his other limbs on the left side. During the convulsions he suffers from choking, severe pain and his BP becomes high. The convulsion last from 5 min to 30 minutes . He becomes unconscious at times. Recently a blue mark(just like an internal injury) appeared on his left side of chest. The Xray shows everything normal, even ECG is normal. Recently one doctor diagnosed him of herpes. But the marks on his chest are not rashes(they look like getting blue from some external injury). Could u please help me in this case?
As you have said your brother is a case of epilepsy with accidental injuries
Your brother has epilepsy (choking, increase bp, abnormal limb movement), epileptics(convulsions) do cause lot of injuries to the patient as they can occur any time any where , so it has to be a bruise , and it will go away dont worry
What you should be doing is take your brother to neurophysician for MRI brain , EEG, LUMBAR PUNCTURE , ELECTROLYTES to see the cause of convulsions in your brother case and start anti epileptics drugs and every thing will be fine and convulsions+accidental injury will go away
hope this helps
take care
