sir, my mother (66yr) old have complaints of malena from past 10 months .she is a known case of CA- COLON POST HEMICOLECTOMY (Aug, 2012) , hypertension and diabetes mellitus .she has had multiple blood transfusions done every 2-3 weeks. she is suffering from the disease multiple angiomas.owing to this continuous bleeding from small intestine is going on and hence always black stool is there kindly advice for further evaluation and management. thank you RUCHI SHARMA

The age, multiple problems and the extent of the disease in the intestines as described by you may not permit for further invasive procedures for your mother, even though this can be better judged by the treating doctor. However, you can consult your discuss with your doctor for embolisation of the bleeding vessels which is done in some of the vascular cath labs in higher centres. The possibility of doing this can only be judged by the specialist performing this procedure. Take care.
