Hi, I am female 31 years old. I don t remember a single day in my whole life that I don t suffer from constipation . What I recently noticed is whenever I am stressing out, the problem disappears. I was wondering first what is wrong with me (because my parents told me that I had this problem since I was a baby); second, how I can be normal like the days I am stressing out? thanks, Leila
HI
Thank you for your query Leila
You have first understand what exactly is constipation. Is it reduced frequency. Even once in three days is alright if it has worked for you till now. If its more troublesome then you first try altering your diet. If you are on the overweight side please exercise and reduce a bit. Prefer roughage in your diet e.g. green leafy vegetables, carrots, raddish, fruits etc. Avoid refined oils and refined flours etc. Get your thyroid levels checked especially if you have any history of similar sort in the family. If constipation means hard stools and difficulty in passing them you should get yourself evaluated by a surgeon. You may have a fissure.
Hope that helps Leila
