Have Cough For A Long Time. X-ray Done But No Medication. Can The Cough Come From Stomach?
i have had a cough on and off for 18months i have had 2 xrays nothing showed up i was beginning to think the cough was coming from my throat as it started with a tickle worse when sleepig and sometimes when eating however i went to my doctor and she thinks it may be coming from my stomach i would never have thought a cough would be coming from the stomach what do you say about that
You seem to have a condition where your cough is caused due to acid reflux. Your doctor is most likely right when she said it is due to your stomach. The gastric juice could be coming up into your esophagus and also irritating your vocal cords too.
Take Tablet Rabeprazole for next 2 weeks once a day. Eat light post evening and have at least two hours gap between your last meal of the day and lying down on bed. Avoid too much coffee or tea. Quit smoking if you do.
