Have Cough Spells. Soothes After Ahving Warm Tea. Serious Problem? Medications? Precautions?

Hi i am a 30-year-old lady. I have very bad cough spells which is not very often, nothing comes out with cough. There is no throat issue, not even irritation in throat. Initially there were few cough droplets, but now nothing comes out and it soothes after having warm tea or water. It can happen in any time interval i.e. 10 days, 5 days or even 15 days. Is it a serious problem, please suggest the medicine or precautions.

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Due to allergy there develops constriction in the alveolus ( bronchi) ,which is part of lungs.
Due to constriction there develops cough.
When you drink tea or hot water , there develops dilatation in bronchi , hence constriction alleviate and relief.
When in such type of conditions ,we take bronchodilators ,they play or acts same way as tea or hot water and give relief.
This is allergic bronchitis due to allergens.
Pollen, dust, mite hay, sudden change in temperature, fibers are few allergens which causes this type of cough.
Consult a physician and get his opinion.
Good luck.
