Hello and welcome to HCM.

Thank you for your query.

Diabetes mellitus has proven to have an effect on sexual life, this is as a result of the affect it has on blood vessels, and thus can effect any part of the body, including the penis. This can result in problems like impotence, erectile dysfunction, etc.

But, these are long term effects, and are normally seen in individuals with a poor glycaemic control. Do consult your doctor if you feel this could be due to your diabetes, as it is also likely this has resulted from anxiety caused due to performance.

I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications. I would gladly help you.

Best wishes.

Hi Dear... Diabetes can cause erectile dysfunction. Also rule out other causes of erectile dysfunction by consulting a urologist. The most common cause is performance anxiety, which u can overcome by mental preparation or a psychiatric counselling if needed. The performance anxiety in u could be just because of the fear of erectile dysfunction by Diabetes, or having sex after a long time. So dont worry about diabetes. Try again when u r relaxed without having the thought of erectile dysfn.
Even if it s erectile dysfn caused by diabetes, we have lot of over the counter medications. So dont worry

Hi,
Welcome to HCm,
Diabets is one condition where there is decreasing sex libido and problem of having Erectile Dysfunction.
This is not always but it is common.
Consult your doctor and if thinks proper, he may go for male hormone, Testosterone estimation.
After all reports go for treatment like tablet Viagra.
Keep diabetes under control and reduce your weight if there.
Ok and bye.
