Have Diabetes, Normal BP. Urine Test Showed Albumin Present. Taking Insulin. On Neferoxin. Is It Serious?
Hello Sir, My father 62 years. Have diabetics taking insulin, BP normal by taking medicine. 7 days before Urine test report - Micral 77.526 mg/L and Albumin Present +. We consult a Medicine specialist Doctor prescribed him Nefrozon Tab. (composition - taurine and acetylcysteine).
Is it the serious matter?? Whether continue with this medicine or prescribe any other better one. And suggest more for not to damage kidney.
Diabetic nephropathy is what your father is suffering from. It is a complication of longstanding diabetesproteins are lost through the damaged kidneys.
I would advice your father to continue Nefrozon because it protects the kidney and slows the progress of the kidney damage.
He also needs to be assessed by a nephrologist to evaluate the stage and the extend of kidney damage.
