Have Diabetes, Sleep Apnea, Low Testosterone. Taking Metformin, Gemfibrozil, Zolpidem. Cough With Phlegm. Problem?
I have been coughing for 2 months with phlegm. I have diabetes, sleep apnea and low testosterone. I am taking metformin, gemfibrozil, zolpidem er, androgel and promethazine with codiene. I am in a diabetic study taking an experimental drug degludec and Liraglutice. I don't smoke and I don't drink. What can be my problem?
I can understand your concern. However, you have not mentioned when the phlegm is more and what is the colour. It will be better to discuss this issue with the doctor who is studying the new drug whether it is the result of the drug.
In case the phlegm is yellow coloured and copious then you need to discuss with your treating doctor who may put you on an antibiotic to control the infection.
I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.
Wishing you an early recovery.
