Have Diarrhea Along With Mucus In Stool, Feeling Of Fever, Hyperthyroidism. Are These Related? What Is The Cure?

Im 18 years old, female, and I was recently diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. I've been suffering from diarrhea along with mucus in my stool. It doesnt always happen, but almost everything I eat causes the diarrhea. Also, there are times when I get a wave of heat like I'm running a fever and then the diarrhea feeling follows. I was wondering if this has anything to do with my thyroid issue and if there was anyway to fix this problem.
