Have Dizziness, Palpitations. Dextroamp-amphet ER, Buspirone HCL. Will I Be Okay?
Hi, my name is Joy. This is my first time to take Dextroamp-Amphet ER 10 mg and Buspirone HCL 10 mg. Took Dextroamp-Amphet ER this morning with no problem theb took Buspirone after lunch, just few minutes taking Buspirone, I feel so dizzy and palpitation. Dextroamp-Amphet ER is once a day only and Buspirone is 3X/day though I only took 1 tablet as of this time but I already feel this way. Should I stop Buspirone and continue with Dextroamp-Amphet? I'm also on Levothyroxyl 125 mcg on empty stomach every morning. Please advice. Thanks.
You have just started Buspirone 10mg 3 times a day. Dizziness is the very common side effect with Buspirone at the initiation of treatment and during dose increment. But it is short lasting side effect and last for few days only.
If dizziness is severe, then medicine should be given in low doses initially and doses should be increase slowly according to tolerance of patient. It is also better to start treatment with night time dose of Buspirone.
Wish you good health and all the best.
