Have Enlarged Fallopian Tubes, Fibroids, Ovarian Cyst. No Pain Or Bleeding. Less Complicated Surgery?

i have surgery planed in a few weeks to remove an enlarged fallopian tube and two large fibroids 6 cm and 5 cm on my right side. They did an ultrasound on me and found all these issues with me. My ovary was removed 13 years ago on that side. On my left side I have a 8 cm ovarian cyst that needs to removed. My fear is i don't want this surgery to end up as a total hysterectomy. I don't want to loose my last ovary. I have no major pain or severe bleeding. I only have pressure on my bladder with frequent trips to bathroom. The strange thing is that back in June I felt one of my fibroids sticking out under my belly and I felt the other one inside me move position every time I would sleep on my side. I started taking estro x and dim plus to help with my estrogen imbalance. I also used cod liver hot oil packs o my abdomen. I changed my diet by refraining from coffee, sugar, bottle water alcohol, processed foods etc. My bump under my belly disappeared and the fibroid inside me i can no longer feel. Could they have shrunk? Well my main question is, could my surgery be less complicated without severe bleeding with less chance of my uterus and ovary being removed? I forgot to mention that I only noticed my fibroid recently in early June when I was doing a lot of walking at Disney and by July is when they seem to have shrunk when I changed my diet.

Hi,
Thanks for consulting us.
In any operation planned to remove fibroids or ovarian cysts there is always a risk of ending up in doing hysterectomy & oophorectomy. This largely depends upon operative findings & the skills of the operator.
However, you have a right to make this clear to your treating Gynecologist before surgery that you are not ready for organ removal & you may also record your wish to close your abdomen without proceeding if on Laparotomy surgeon finds extensive surgery unavoidable.
This off course will not get you any relief but you will not loose any organ.
You may also discuss the options of uterine artery embolization, Laparoscopic or hysteroscopic removal of fibroids, Ultasound guided cyst drainage etc, with your Gynecologist, if these are possible in your case.
Wish you good health.
