Have Fever, Throat Pain. On Meftal, Clavam. Treatment?
My daughter aged 10 yrs and weighing 46kgs has been having 102F fever since morning with a severe throat ache. Her doctor advised to give her meftal 500mg for the fever. Since her throat was severe, he recommended that I start clavam 625mg, twice a day for 5 days, starting today. Since her throat ache hasnt subsided, he suggested that I discontinue meftal 500 and instead give her combiflam if reqd. I was concerned if clavam 625 if the right treatment for such a young child. Pls advise.

YES CLAVAM 625mg BD IS RIGHT DOSE.she is suffering from acute tonsilitis.
