I stopped breastfeeding my now 2 year old when she was 7 months old as I didn t have enough milk, she now left Saturday with her dad to go to India for 3 weeks and I didn t go this time because I ALWAYS get very ill there and also I have alot going on at work. Saturday night I started lactating a little and still am now. I saw my primary doctor and they felt a small lumpy area but said it was fine (i have fibrocystic breasts) and squeezed out what they said definately looked like milk but that they would culture it anyway to make me feel better. She said I shouldn t worry but when i asked her if stress could cause this because I m feeling very depressed that my husband and daughter are away without me and she said no that it was probably some medication i take. (I take paxil and levothyroxine which i ve been taking for a long time (paxil changed to prozac while pregnant and breastfeeding) and it never happened before. Could it be the stress of missing them?
