Have Follicles On The Ovaries. Had Ovarian Cyst Earlier. What Does This Mean?

I had an ovarian cyst, but within time it went away. when I recently got my results back it also say that I have several small follicles on both my ovaries. I thought this happens when you're about to ovulate. My period is suppose to come may 8th, so haven't I already ovulated? My last period was april 10th....so what does this mean

Hi dear user, thanks for asking to us.

Simple follicular ovarian cysts can occur in ovaries which can be due to hyperestrogenism .Usually these are asympyomatic and detected accidently on USG. As per your history, you may be having the same.In my opinion, if you are not having any symptoms,you should follow them with monthly ultasound to have a check over their size.
