Have Fungal Infection On Stomach, Sweating. Applied Nystatin. Have Pimples, No Itching. What Do You Think?

I have a skin fungus under my fat bellly because it is also sweating during the summer. I always use talcum powder or a salve if it gets bad. Neither have worked this time and they have prescribed the powdered nystatin. Now I am worried it might be shingles because as the redness dissolved I have little like pimples bordering the entire area and through the middle of the rash. At this point I have no itching. What do you think? Am I in trouble? Thank you for your consideration.

Hi,

Thanks for writing here.

It seems you are having intertrigo. It is a mixed infection of bacteria and fungus and occurs due to friction.

Continue using nystatin powder. At night you can use miconazole and hydrocortisone combination.Get your blood sugar checked.Use loose cotton clothes.Keep area dry as far as possible.

Shingles usually have severe burnning and lesions are in small grouped vesicles and distributed along a specific pattern.

I hope this will solve your problem.Take care.
