Hi Thanks for your query Looks like you have developed a lesion of Vector dermatitis..also known as Paederus dermatitis.. Paederus dermatitis is a peculiar, irritant contact dermatitis characterized by a sudden onset of red lesions on exposed areas of the body. The disease is provoked by an insect belonging to the genus Paederus. Now in your case the lesion is persisting since 10days. You are already applying an antibiotic cream since 10 days. Now you need to apply an antibiotic/steroid combination cream over the lesion twice a day. Take oral antihistamine like levocetrizine once a day to decrease the swelling . At present, you dont seem to have any signs of infection in the form of raised local temperature or extreme redness or pain or pus discharge from the lesion, so you can safely continue with the above therapy, but if you tend to develop any of the above signs, then you might need a course of oral antibiotics or steroids as assessed by a specialist.
