Hi sylviah ! When you have infection then you have to take food regular , small dose and at fix time. And are you taking medicine or not you need it. Now! You say you are on the job can't eat so take orange juice and rosted ground nut for lunch. Other wise if you can, full diet is needed. So recover soon. Bye.

Emergency Medicine Specialist Dr. Sheeba Stephen's  Response
Hello and welcome to Healthcare Magic. Thanks for your query.

H. pylori is a major cause of acid peptic disease, resulting in increased acid secretion and peptic ulcers. This can cause symptoms like decreased appetite, abdominal discomfort or tightness and excessive gas formation. When you feel hungry and don't take food for some time, the acid secretion increases further, resulting in discomfort in the abdomen and a bloated sensation, which in can turn off your appetite. Some persons can even have a vomiting sensation when they delay food in this way. I would suggest the following measures:

1) Eat at regular intervals and do not delay your meals.
2) Avoid foods that cause gastric irritation like spicy foods, coffee, tea, carbonated drinks, etc. Smoking and alcohol are also gastric irritants.
3) Increase the fibre content in your diet - take more of vegetables and fruits.
4) Avoid eating outside, especially avoid all kinds of junk food and fast foods.

Best wishes,
Dr. Sheeba Stephen
