Have Had Rheumatoid Arthritis, Shingles Outbreak, Joint Pain, Sensitive To Cold. Is This Normal?
I have had rheumatoid arthritis for a while now and my symptoms are only mild. Over the years, I am very sensitive to cold air as it triggers the arthritis and hurts my joints. Recently, I noticed some rashes on my ear, to which my acupuncturist told me it might be an shingles outbreak. My first round of rashes already disappeared and there were no blisters or ooze. Just today, I noticed a couple of more rash spots on my ear and was wondering if it is a second outbreak. Like I mentioned above, I am very sensitive to cold air because of my affliction with rheumatoid arthritis. With the rashes on my ear, that particular ear is also extremely sensitive to cold air and I was wondering if that is normal.
Hi, as your ocupuncturist correctly said, that it may be a viral infection, like shingles. I advise you to consult a dermatologist for diagnosis and treatment. Other wise it may have recurrance on and off, with systemic effects. So dont neglect. Thank you.
