Have Heavy Menstruation And Advised To Take D And C Test. Is D And C Painful?
I have a heavy menstruation last month for almost 10 days.i decided to consult to an OB.she told me that i have a lot of blood inside my uterus.she gave medicine.but after 3 weeks the doctor told me that i need to undergo a D&C.because i still have lots of blood inside my uterus..she needs to remove it..is D&C is painful?is my doctor is right?

Hi yes d and c should be done whenever there is huge amount of blood or any embedded particle in the uterus.usually it is done under local anaesthesia hence it is painless.do not worry about the procedure too much.d and c is dilatation and curettage

good evening to you.... heavy menstruation can be due to different causes....it can be due to dysfunctional uterine bleeding or due to fibroids...d&c is dilation and curratage...it is done under anesthesia ,so you will not be able to feel the pain...i would advise you to follow the advise of your gynecologist,as d&c may be curative, and also because it will lead to the correct diagnosis...
