Hello dear
Let us first discuss about
hypothyroidism. THe most common cause of hypothyroidism is that in diseased patients there are
antibodies (certain proteins produced by the body ) in the body against the thyroid gland , which decreases its function. The lack of adequate hormone is called hypothyroidism. When we take treatment for the same , all we do is supplement the missing hormone. So taking
thyronorm for hypothyroidism does not have any side effects , if taken correctly, meaning to keep
TSH in the normal range.
Secondly thyroid hormone is required daily in the body and the dose of the medicine is to be taken daily empty stomach in the morning and not 5 day a week.
Third point is
estrogen is known to trigger development of antibodies in patients who are genetically likely to get the disease. That is why more females have the disease. But estrogen does not cause the disease. Hypothyrodism has come genetically and now taking estrogen tablets will not later the disease. You need to concentrate on keeping the hormone in range by regularly checking TSH atleast once in 3 months. HYPOTHYRODISM IS TREATABLE but not curable. BUt relax, it is a very safe disease to have.
Coming to
endometriosis, there are hormone therapies and if they fail surgery. For a
hormonal disease the treatment will be hormonal. I would suggest you to discuss with your doctor all the avialble options and chose among them.
hope this helps
