Have Hypothyroidism, Have Low Vitamin D, High Cholesterol, Intolerance To Yeast. On Thyroxine. What Can Help?
Hi
I was diagnosed (after a long battle with my gp and ended up having to go private) with hypothyroidism. I am currently on Thyroxine 100mcg od. I have gained 3st in the last 2.5 years. Yesterday I simply couldn't get out of bed as I had no energy at all and my whole body felt like a lump of steel. I also have low Vitamin D, high cholesterol and was diagnosed with diverticular disease 18 months ago. I had provate blood tests which showed I had intolerance to yeast and dairy products. My lethargu and tiredness is amazing. I can do something so minor as hang washing on the line, come in and sleep for hours.
Your lethargy, tiredness might be related to your hypothyroidism possibly or may also be due to various other conditions like Poor diet, Anemia and many more. Please recheck your thyroid function tests and if they are abnormal, your doctor would some dosage adjustments. Also, consult to rule out all the other possible causes of your symptoms.
Take care!
