Have Irregular Periods. Have Endometriotic Cyst. Want To Conceive. Have Rupture Of Follicle. Positive Pregnancy Test. Did Abortion. Further Suggestions?
Hello doctor I am 32 ,married for 2yrs. I have irregular cycles of 32 to 35 days. There is an endometriotic cyst of 44mm in my rt ovary. I want to conceive for which I got my follicular study done. study showed delayed rupture of follicle in my left ovary on about 23rd day and to my surprise I conceived. but had a weakly positive pregnancy test. Went for ultrasound which showed gestational sac and poor trophoblastic reaction and finally I aborted spontaneously. what could be the reason for this.what do you suggest furthet.
Hello and welcome to HCM, The endometriotic cyst of 4.4 cm size in the ovary will not affect ovulation and conception. However, there is delay in ovulation. Ovulation can be timed by studying the basal body temperature and studying the cervical mucus. Accurate timing of ovulation will help in conception. A poor trophoblastic reaction suggests deficiency of progesterone because progesterone are involved in maintenance of pregnancy. You need to consult your gynecologist to know the hormonal status.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja P Wahal
