Dear gowripharma007:
your age, whether you smoke, have diabetes or high blood pressure and other factors such as wether you need contraception or not, all together make me decide the ideal method to regulate your menstruation.
If the answer is to take a birth control pill, so I prefer one of the old generations, not the one you are using because of it's side effects and there are big question marks about it's safety (it causes blood clotting and stroke attacks, more noticed than other types).
Concerning your question about the extra three pills, you may take them or throw them away, there is no difference.
Finally I wish that these words were usefull to you and I wish you the best of luck.
Dr. Ahmed Bahaa.
