Have Leprosy BT. Skin Biopsy Shows BT Hansen Disease. Worried

i am 27years,suffering from Leprosy BT.In january i came to know abt these.after that i gone thorugh 6 months prescribed medication for PB patients.After the medication period i again go through the skin biopsy and the report again Confirms that its BT hansen disease.The doctor told me the no need to worry the germs had been killed and you dont need to worry.

Hi,

You are having HD -BT.

You have taken anti leprotic treatment for 6 months.

Actually, 6 months course of anti leprotic drugs is sufficient to cure the disease.

However , sometime, clinical and pathological changes might remain for long time.

Normalisation in skin takes long time even after treatment.

So, do not worry, if there is relapse of HD, then repeat course may be taken.

But, consult dermatologist, and take decision.
