Have Meniscus Tear In Knee. Used TENS Unit. Your Thoughts?
I believe I have a meniscus tear in my left knee after twisting it and the injury occurred 6 weeks ago. I purchased a TENS unit and have been using it 2-3 times per day for 20 minutes for the last 7 days and my knee feels better but running is not an option at this time. I am an avid runner - 30-40 miles to week and want to get back to is as soon as possible. I am considering orthoscopic surgery or an MRI but both are all out of pocket and I can t afford everything. Your thoughts?
Hi, it appears that you have tears of miniscus of both the of the knees. And the surgeries are out of the reach of your pocket. Of course the surgery is important , but if not effordable i to my patient with such symptoms prescribe neurotropic injections for 10 consecutive days, and one injection every week, with limitation of weight bearing. Thank you.
