Have Metastatic Breast Cancer, Lumbar Spine Fracture, Spinal Stenosis. Help?
I have metastatic breast cancer to spine . Lumbar Spine---- I fractured L1. MRI says There is retropulsion of the posterior vertebral body margin approx. 10 mm and the central spinal canal resulting in severe central spinal stenosis (AP diameter of 6 mm) kThoracic Spine-- There is a moderate to severe L1 compression fracture treated with intraosseous bone cement. Diffusely heterogeneous marrow signal consistent with a combination of metastatic disease
The choice of treatment of spinal metastasis depends on the type of cancer, area of the spine involved and your general fitness. It could be Radiotherapy, Chemotherapy or surgery.
If the compressive element of the spine is significant with instability and causing a neurological compromise, then a decompressive surgery is indicated.

Have Metastatic Breast Cancer, Lumbar Spine Fracture, Spinal Stenosis. Help?
Hi, thanks for writing to HCM. So you may need a multimodal management protocol. Consult an spine surgeon / oncologist for further workup and management. Hope this information is helpful. Good day
