Hi,
My mother in law is currently in the hospital. She has muscular dystrophy & last week she tried to stand & her knees gave out (not the first time) & she broke her ankle & leg -the same leg. At first, she wouldn't take anything but Motrin for the pain, but after a couple of days of the pain she decided it would be better to take something so, they put her on Morphine. I don't know how much she is getting it or how often, but now all of a sudden her heart is fluttering & has an abnormal arthmia. So they are going to preform a endocardiogram. I would like to know how this is normally preformed because I was told that they were going to go down her throat. So there are a few questions here. Could the Morphine be giving her these flutters? How is a endocardiogram preformed? & Is there an alternative or any noninvasive ways?
