Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi, thanks for writing to HCM.

As per the symptoms given in the description, I suspect some form of ENTRAPMENT NEUROPATHY in the foot.

This condition might result due to the compression of the nerves that pass through the tight osteofascial tunnels in the foot. This could be transient and self limiting at times.

Initially, try some neurotropic vitamins (especially Vit B6 & Vit B12) for a week or so. These should give some relief.

If you do not find regression of the symptoms, then consult a neurophysician for further workup.

Hope this information is helpful. Good day

Welcome to HCM.
Sometime it happens due to improper footwear. If you are wearing shoes with heel which cause unequal pressure on foot.
It is also one of the sign of vitamin B12 deficiency, early sigh of gout, diabetes.
Go for certain investigations like CBC,FBS,PPBS,S.B12.S.URIC ACID,D3.
Start therapeutic dose of vitamin b12,also intramuscular injectin of b12 will be more helpful.Take calcium supplement with d3.
Avoid tight and high heeled footwear.
Start treatment under guidance of your physician.

Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
Numbness on foot, pins and needles feeling could be due to pinched nerve or deficiency of vit b12 level. Get it checked out to rule out any deficiency. Taking methylcobalamin supplement under supervision of your doctor will be helpful.
Hope this will helps you. Feel free to ask me if you have any further queries.
Wish you good health. Take care.
