Have Ovarian Cyst. Delayed Periods, Cramps, Brown Discharge, Passing Clots. Ruptured Cyst?
Monday night i went to the er and found out i have/had a 5.5cm cyst on my right ovary. It has caused my period to be about 2 weeks late. When i did finally get my period Saturday, i ended up in a lot of pain that night from what i thought was cramps. Next morning i passed a large clot, and now i got brownish discharge. Could it have ruptured?
With ovarian cyst, most women experience late period with blood clot. Above clinical features are not suggestive of rupture ovarian cyst. Most of them are simple ovarian cyst and do not cause as such complication.
Rupture ovarian cyst usually does not present with vaginal bleeding or clots except complex one which may create internal bleeding and needs urgent medical attention.
Here, you can take anti-spasmodic medication and control body wt to get regular period. Take low carbohydrate diet. Please consult with your gynecologist for follow-up examination.
Be well. Good luck.
