Have Pain In Inner Thigh, Strong Pulsating When I Hold The Area. Diagnosed Ovarian Cyst, Prolapsed Bladder

I have been experiencing periodic intense pain in my left inner thigh. First time it happened tried to stand and on the point of fainting with the pain, so had to return to bed until I found position (leg curled) before it subsided. Now find it not only comes on during the night if I turn in bed but even if I am sat during a meal/move my knee/lift my leg. If I hold the point of pain, there is a strong pulsating (same as taking a pulse), move it back to previous position it will sometimes dissipate but not always. I have just been diagnosed with an ovarian cyst, a prolapsed bladder, and my blood sugar is just creeping above normal (doctor wants to wait a month and retest before undertaking a glucose tolerance test). I am 64, female.

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
According to your description there is possibility of some hernia.
Though you are having ovarian cyst, usually that will not manifest as mass in the inner thigh.
Inguinal or femoral hernias can present as masses near the inner thighs.
Sometimes the contents in the hernias could be blood vessels leading to pulsating sensation.
Pressure due ovarian cyst and cystocele can lead to formation of hernia.
So, you once consult gynecologist and get examined.
Go for ultrasound once.
By examination and investigations the possible cause for your problem can be identified.
Depending on the cause and symptoms further management can be planned.
Take care.
