Hello anna,
Thanks for your query.
I read your problem,as you provided the detail it seems that you have sufficient space for the growth of wisdom tooth.
I would like to tell you that pain during wisdom tooth eruption is normal, for pain you can take pain killer and you need to maintain oral hygiene.
You can follow few things-
1.rinse with betadine mouthwash twice daily.
2.Brush properly and gently twice daily.
3.Rinse your mouth after every meal.
4.You can have warm saline rinses 2-3 times daily.
5.If there is any infection in that area you can take amoxillin.

Nothing to get worried.
Take Care.

hello there,

Wisdom tooth is the last tooth to erupt in the oral cavity and often its eruption is associated with symptoms like pain and discomfort in eating , difficulty in opening mouth , swelling in the jaws and cheek bite.

wisdom teeth are often tilted in position and impacted in the bone , gums overlying the tooth usually undergoes inflammation and shows pain and swelling , this condition is known as pericoronitis .

i would suggest you to go for symptomatic treatment at home like gargling with lukewarm saline water or antiseptic mouthwash like chlorhexidine or betadine.

You may need to get an OPG radiograph done for you which will show the exact position of the tooth, consult a dentist and get the tooth extracted surgically.

continue with the course of antibiotic Augmentin 625mg along with analgesics like aceclofenac two times daily for 3 to 5 days ,this helps in subsiding the pain and swelling.

i hope this helps,

take care.

Hello and Welcome to HCM,
Thanks for writing to us.
An impacted tooth is a tooth that gets blocked as it is pushing through the gum into your mouth.
when an impacted wisdom tooth tries to come in, the flap of gum on top of it can become infected and swollen. This can hurt. You might even feel pain in nearby teeth, or in the ear on that side of your face.
An impacted tooth can lead to an infection called pericoronitis.
immediately start up with warm saline rinses & betadine rinses, along with antibiotic course including amoxycilline 500mg TDS & ibuprofen 400 mg TDS.
Than visit to your dentist for check iopa x-ray.
Hope this helps you.
Wishing you good health...
Regards.

Hello,
You are suffering from a condition known as Pericoronitis. This is an inflammation around the wisdom tooth. You should get an OPG x ray taken for your dentist to identify the position of the tooth. Ideally it would be better to get the tooth removed surgically by an Oral surgeon. You should do warm saline gargle 3-4 times a day for a week and take antibiotics and analgesics as prescribed by your dentist.
