Have Pain On Left Side Down To Groin. Stool Is Dark Green. Had Stopped Pain Killers. Remedy?

Hi im larry and im 55 and have had five back surgerys last one jan. 2103 I got addicted the the pain pills so I checked myself in and got off of them now im having pain on my left side and sometimes it goes all the way down to my groig and all my stools float and to day it was a dark green but most of the time its a light pail color?????

Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Left side pain radiating to the groin can be caused by urinary tract infection or urinary tract stones. Frequent urinating and burning while urinating should also be present. Fever can appear.
Other possible reasons of left abdominal pain are diverticulitis or other large intestine issue (including colon cancer).

Light pail color of the stool indicates lack of bile in the stool. This can happen with bile ducts obstruction. Usually it is caused by gallstones in the bile ducts, sometimes can be a reason of pancreas cancer.

I suggest you to visit you doctor. Blood work, urine analysis, abdominal ultrasound should be done at first. If nothing will be found. colonoscopy should be done.
