Have Painful Large Bruise In Shin, Turned Blue. Have Von Willebrands. Should I Be Concerned ?

I have von willebrands, but haven't had many complications from it since diagnosis (aside from heavy menstrual bleeding), and I took a softball in the shin at our last game, really hard. a large bruise has formed, and it was quite painful. I have noticed that my foot is turning a little blue, from what I can only imagine is complications from bleeding. This has happened in the past, from almost exactly the same injury, on my other leg. Should I be concerned, or just assume this is business as usual with my condition? There is no pain or swelling in the foot.

HI
Thank for choosing HCM, If you are Von Willebrand patient, you need to be very much alert and cautious, as long as your physical activity are concern, have close eye on your platelet count, go for fragility test, keep eye on clotting time, and bleeding time, the chances of natural remission is there, take some vitamin c supplement, you can try short course of steroid ( Prednisone ) in tapered dose, internal bleeding of any nature is really great matter, take care Have nice day.
