Have Persisting Knee Pain. Difficulty In Climbing Steps. Do I Need To Go For Scanning?
hi doctor i hav knee pain from past two months. since wen i travelled in jeep while coming down from tirupati curve road,i applied oil given by orthopedic and went to homeo clinc later and took pills for one month but still i have mild pain(which im able to bear) in my knee when i climb stair cases and when i wear tight pants.pls advise shd i take scaning or wht shd i do.............need ur help very badly
Hi and thanks for the query,
a good physical examination needs to be done, preferably by the orthopedic surgeon. The knee is a very complex joint, much used with various components requiring a good clinical skill to actually explore each of these lesions. A scan is only part of the diagnostic tools required for a proper evaluation and management.Other causes of knee pain such as inflammatory diseases and even infectious arthritis must always be considered during the evaluation process. Taking an appointment with the orthopedic surgeon is a very good idea.
Thanks and best regards,
Luchuo, MD.
