Have Polycystic Ovaries. On Metformin, Duphaston. HPT Negative. Early For The Test? No Effect From The Medicine?

I have polycystic ovaries. My dr.prescribed me to take metformin 2x-3x a day and duphaston 16-25th cd. Im taking it for 2 cycles nw. My lmp was july26 so im expectng my period aug25 but until nw i didnt got it. Hpt negative from 1st day of missed until nw its 5days late. Cud it possible i am pregnant and early to test? Is it possible for duphaston to doesnt take effect with my period? Im so confuse. They said one wil have period 5-10 days after taking duphaston. Its my 11th day nw. Pls help.

Above medications are quite helpful to regularize period and facilitate chance of conception.

Here, you need to repeat the home pregnancy test or undergo blood test for beta-HCG to confirm pregnancy. Early test is less significant.

Duphaston causes withdrawal bleeding within 7 to 10 days of stopping in most women in the absence of pregnancy. Kindly, consult with your doctor after repeating the above test.
