Hello
Thanks for writing to H.C.M. for your query.
I have gone through your clinical history, and after considering all aspects of your symptoms I am suspecting that you are suffering from acute upper
respiratory tract infection with acute
otitis media.
Development of disease process as under-
You were suffering from
flu for about 2 weeks which left behind your upper respiratory tract infection as a sequlae, here your throat had infection which than progress to ear via Eustachian tube thus giving you feeling of fullness in ear , and lateron this came out to external
ear canal after making a hole in ear drum, this fluid is having some blood in it therefore it is pinkish in color. Because of fluid in middle ear and simultaneously perforation of ear drum are responsible for hard of hearing.
For its proper management you should do these basic investigations-
(1) C.T.scan of
paranasal sinuses.
(2) Culture and sensitivity of ear pus.
(3) Audiometery.
(4) Blood - CBC,
ESR, blood sugar- F & P.P.
(5) Urine - R & M.
Till the reports of investigations comes you can take - Antibiotics, Anti inflammatory, Decongestant and steam inhalation. Please don't put any drop in ear and try to make ear clean and dry. Once the report of investigation comes than a good clinical examination and co-relation with investigation makes clear about diagnosis wich will be accordingly manage.
With Regards.
