Have Pressure In Throat. Diagnosed With Muscle Spasms In Neck. What Is It?
I have this pressure in my throat... near my adam's apple. I noticed it about a week or so ago after bench pressing. I went to my doctor who said that I have no lymph node swelling or any noticeable lumps in my throat anywhere. I am not coughing and my voice is the same. It is better in the morning, but becomes irritating by evening. He said that I have muscle spasms in my neck. He is a DO, so he adjusted my neck and spine, and it seemed to help.. but the next day the same issues are occurring. I am concerned about throat cancer. I am 43 and quit smoking 4 years ago after smoking for 20 years. What could this be? HOw can I rule out throat cancer?
An external examination by your doctor has been done and the is no significant finding clinically. But the symptoms persist. You have history of smoking in the past. Has the duration of quitting is not more than 5 years you carry the same risk as a smoker for the time being at least. Consult an ENT specialist and get yourself examined.
