Have Reduction Of Temperature, Weakened Muscles, Autoimmune Condition. Have Had Serum Cortisol Test Done. What Is It?
i have significant reduction of temperature upon moderate exercise ( 2 mile walk) I have had one serum cortisol test done at 8:50 a.m. at 792 nmol/L and at same blood draw an acth test at 3 pmol/l , muscles feel weakened, with increased abdominal fat, what could this be? have long history of undiagnosed auto immune condition
Hello, Welcome to Healthcaremagic. As your Cortisol and Acth levels are normal. You may have no problem in adrenals. you mentioned you have reduced body temperature, Obesity ( increased abdominal fat) and muscle weakness, you may be suffering from Hypothyroidism. You may have Hashimoto's thyroiditis as you have some undiagnosed autoimmune disease. So please check the thyroid hormone levels in blood-T3, T4, TSH. If these are normal, then do Fasting and Postprandial blood sugar levels to rule out diabetes. With results , Please consult Endocrinologist. Hope this helps. Take care.
