Have Regular Period, Started Spotting And Them Cramping. No Medication. Why The Pattern?
I am 22, and I just had my regular period on April 13, 2013 and it ended like usual on Saturday April 20, 2013. I went a week like everything was normal and on Sunday April 28th, I started spotting brown. Three days later I'm up to a regular bleed with cramps and all. This has never happened to me. I'm not on any medication.
A normal menstrual cycle varies in duration from as short as 20 days to as long as 42 days.
This variation may be present from the very beginning or may start later in life.
According to your history, the second menstrual cycle started after around 17 days.
Observe your cycles for some more months.
If the menstrual cycles still remain short or become irregular, you need to visit your gynecologist to find the cause for irregular bleeding.
You may require few investigations like endometrial curettings or endometrial biopsy. This test will determine the status of the endometrium and guide further management.
Thanks and take care.
