Have Severe Cervical Dystonia And Now Diagnosed With Niece S Syndrome, The Left Eye Closes And Open
I ve been diagnosed with niece s syndrome. My neurologist Isn t very familiar with the disorder. At first it was severe cervical dystonia but this makes me stutter at times. When I stutter it causes my left eye to close, and open. I ve had an MRI, EKG and EEG performed and the dr says there s nothing wrong with my brain. I really need a second opinion. Please advise
hello ,welcome to HCM, According to your description, the syndrome is Nices syndr. (tardive dystonia) 1.your symptoms of blinking, neck twisting, stuttering etc. are due to involvement of various nerves emerging from the brain, generally due to adverse effect of some prescription drugs . 2.if your dystonia is limited to the head area ,it might respond to botox therapy .severe dystonia may be givenneck brace . 3. muscle relaxation techniques and sensory feedback thrapies are in use to improve posture episodes of dystonia. 4.however all goes in guidance from an experienced neurologist,so keep faith . hope all above gives you a general guideline to go by.
