Have Sharp Pain In Throat After Sneezing. Voice Got Changed. How Long Will It Take To Recover?

A few days back after sneezing my husband experienced a sharp pain in his throat. He was unable to swallow. His voice also broke.

After a couple of days, the pain was almost gone, the cracked voice had improved a little but his voice is still not the same as before. Is it normal? Will his voice be the same again?

My Husband's age is 40.

Hello and thanks for the query,

Sore throat and loss of voice are almost commonly seen together, esp. when it is a viral infection,

there is nothing to worry about as it will usually go away in a weeks time, ask him to do gargling

with warm saline water which will soothe the throat. Also he can use homeopathic medicine if it

happens frequently.

take care, good wishes.
