Have Sinus Headache And Sinus Infection. Taken Antibiotics And Neti Pot. Help

Hi,
About a year ago my friend was eating at a thai restaurant when he hiccuped or something and a small amount of rice went up the back of his throat into his sinus cavity. He gets sinus head aches and sinus infections now. He has tried antibiotics. He also has used a netti pot a lot. Nothing seems to fix it. The antibiotics did help. But, his sinus headache and infections just seems to reoccur. It's been a year. It seems weird that anything could still be up there aespecially considering he has neti potted a lot. What can you tell me?

Hi, about an year ago, your friend had hiccup, and food entered sinus cavity, now he is getting sinus headache.
hiccup food usually enters the larynx but not sinus, so the sinusitis has nothing to do with the hiccup.
If it is not controlled by treatment he needs to get it cleared by a minor surgery as a O.P.procedure. Thank you.
