Have Sinus Infection. Tightness In Lower Throat, Breathing Difficulty, Sleeplessness. Solution?
I believe I have a sinus infection . It is the fourth or fifth day of heavy symptoms, and tonight things took a sharp turn for the worse. My throat has been closing off while I sleep with tonight being the most extreme. I feel tightness at the lower portion of my throat and am having a very hard time breathing . I have never in my life felt anything like this, and I dont know how I can possibly go back to sleep.
Hi
Thanks for your query
Welcome to HCM
As per discussion you have upper respiratory tract infection more than sinusitis alone
Sinusitis is inflammation of the sinuses that occurs with an infection from a virus, bacteria, or fungus
When the sinus openings become blocked or too much mucus builds up, bacteria and other germs can grow more easily
You can try--
1-Apply a warm, moist wash cloth to your face several times a day.
2-Drink plenty of fluids to thin the mucus.
3-Inhale steam 2 - 4 times per
4-Spray with nasal saline several times per day.
5-Use a humidifier.
6-Be careful with over-the-counter spray nasal decongestants these may be used for short period
Take care
