Rabies is viral disease and this disease is always fatal and most commonly spreads by dog bite.
Infected bats,monkeys, raccoons, foxes, skunks, cattle, wolves, coyotes, dogs, mongooses and cats present the greatest risk to humans.
If we think theoretically it is possible if a human infected with rabies and bites it is reported in medical literatures.
Rabies post exposure
vaccination there are many schedule but if wound is really bad and risk is more
passive immunity by Rabies immunoglobulin (RIG).
Human Diploid Cell
Vaccine (HDCV) or Purified Chick Embryo Cell Vaccine is given 0,3,714,30 some may require additional dose at 90 days.These are IM given in
deltoid muscle.
There are intradermal vaccine which are used.
Usually for protection additionally
tetanus toxoid is also given as booster dose.
