Have Sore Bruise On Armpit. Taking Azathioprine For Crohn's Disease. Side Effect Of Medicine?
I have a small bruise under my armpit which I have had for weeks (approx 5) but wont seem to go away. My armpits have also been sore but nothing too painful. I have crohn s disease with moderate symptoms and am taking azathioprine . I was wondering if this bruise is something to worry about; if I am lacking something and need to be taking a supplement; or maybe if it could just be a side effect of my medication?

one of the warnings that we doctors inform patients about using azathioprine is skin cancer and cancer of lymph nodes called lymphoma.
as you have developed a bruise in the armpit it could be the side effect of the drug you are taking
i would suggest that you are seen by your physician to have a review and do some tests
