Have Soreness In Upper Stomach. Had Appendix Burst. Related?

I have the feelin of being punched in the upper stomach (like soreness when you've had the wind knock out of you, just below my sternum. Seems to be with jumping exercise or riding my bike in bent over position on long bike rides. I also never have been able to burp but there is also a lot gurgling going on. After exercise or bumpy boat ride, even snow skiing this has happened and last for several hours or even a day. Can you help me?

ps, This is since I had my appendicts burst and emergency surgery, full abdomen wash because of so much infection. Could this be results from this?

Hi,
From the details you have stated, this appears to be related to exercise. The upper abdominal muscles are used in all the physical activities you mention. Therefore, the most likely cause is muscle strain which may last up to a day as you have described.
It is unlikely to be related to your previous appendix surgery.
