I am seethapathy, 62 years age . I am having epilepsy since childhood .From childhood till 30 years of age , the severity of seizures are mild and lasted for one or twominutes and the occred most of the timesduring the start of sleep at night - the symptoms are stiffening of limbs/ teeth biting/ effervesence at mouth/ shaking of legs and hands vigoursly - the treatment was just pressing a iron material - key , rod etc - by my parents in my hands for few minutes and within ten minutes I slept. All these activities could not be captured by my mind next day and I felt dull at least oneday after the occurence of seizure. My consulted a doctor here 40 years back and after checking , he gave macrofolin iron tabs , luminolets tabs and eptoin two times a day and I continued the same for 8 years with regular checkups but the freuency of occurences of seizures not decreased atleast four times a month and the severity slightly increased particularly during summer and day times- someti
es the time extended more than 3 minutes and fall in floor. After the occurence of a seizure. I usually fall and unconsious for about ten to fifteen minutes and most of thetime I couldnot get sleep for atleast 24 hours and I couldnot able to concentrate in my routine activities . The doctoer changed the medicine by replacing eption with epilex and luminolets with cardinol which I reported back to the doctor because of drouziness . Then I took elepsindon and epilex along with macrofolin iron tabs for another 8. Years and the frequency of occurences not reduced and severity increased . I took EEG which was normal and brain scan which was normal. The doctor changed the medicine by presribing epilex chrono300mg , epilex and levasom 250 mg twice a day at the age of 50 years and Ihe severity increased -I usually fall on the ground and remain unconscious for sometime and this happened during walking or after some physical work in the shopfloor( not always) - the frequency was at least three ti
es per month which gradually increased to 10 times per month .Repeated. EEG and brainscan showed normal and the doctor increased the doseage of levasom 250 to 500 for the past three years . After 60 years , I myself stopped in doing the exercises - walking - and taking rest most of the time and continuing the medicine with the diet suggested by the doctor. But even afterwards at this age the frequency of occurences are high now atleast two per week and I feel highly uncomfortable.
