Have Swollen Uvula. No Pain. Tried Gargling With Salt Water. Cure?

I am a 76 year old female with a swollen uvula that I have had for several weeks. It is not painful, just very stressful. My throat also is not sore. I have tried gargling with salt water and also have used honey and/or apple cider vinegar among other suggested things to do but to no avail. Thank you for any suggestions you may have.

Hello

Thanks for writing to H.C.M.

I read your query regarding swollen uvula, but it is a painless swelling which is stressful.

I would like to tell you that you are sffering from UVULITIS. This is in your case is most likely allergic, because infective swelling of uvula is a painful situation on the other hand allergic uvular swelling is painless and some times associated with itching.

You have taken few home remadies but no relief is there. I suggest you to take steroids to get immidiate relief.

I hope this will help you.

Regards.
