Have Swollen Lymph Node On Neck. Lost Appetite And Restless. Have Family History Of Cancer. Advise?

i have a swollen lymph node on the right side of my neck. consequentially, i've lost my appetite and i'm a bit restless. it's been there for about a month and a couple weeks now. it's went down some from how i remembered it being at first. but i'm worried, i've had a family member develop cancer from the same thing. what might this be?

Hi!
Enlarged lymphnodes are very commonly seen in neck region and most of them turn out to be benign reactive enlargements arising due to inflammation or infection in surrounding region.
since it has slightly reduced in size so you dont need to worry at all.In case there is any increase in size or you develop fresh nodes kindly get an Fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) done.Hope this will help you!
